Residual values play a large role in what kind of lease deal you get. Black Book residual values are included in Expert Lease Pro. The residual values are provided for all new vehicles for 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months. The software automatically adjusts the residual value for odd months and for allowed miles per year. Black Book residuals are ideal for determining if the residual value from the dealer is good or not. Black Book residual values are also useful for estimating the vehicle's value at the end of the lease period for lease vs. buy analysis. Over the years we have licensed both ALG (Automotive Lease Guide) residual values and Black Book residual values and have found that Black Book's numbers more closely track residual values from dealers and third party lease companies. We also believe that Black Book's residual values are more suitable for consumer reference than ALG residual values. |
